It all started with a five year old little girl from a small rural town in Minnesota. Tracing back to her days in elementary school and her love of drawing pictures with stories. Her teachers encouraged her to pursue and would often take the stories she created and turn them into picture books. From there as she grew her imagination expanded. Even wanting to write her own story about a group of girls who go off to school and learn to use magic. This ended up developing into full fledged fanfiction. Now, at the time they were not very good but with time and practice they got better. As an adult, V.A. Haugen did what every person does and set aside her dreams to be an author. But the stories did not get the hint. They continued to follow her throughout every aspect of her life. Waiting patiently in the background, waiting for that day when she finally got the chance to tell it. But the point is, if you have a dream follow it. Do not let it stop you.

When she's not writing, she's reading, sewing or working on a diy project. She currently resides in a small town in Iowa with her husband, their three dogs and two cats with a dream one day to live on a farm with chickens, goats, horses and wild life. Hopefully with the time to continue writing stories for years to come.
